WES as a whole, and Area 6 in particular, have lost another stalwart.

Lawrie passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, February 18th after a short battle with cancer.

Lawrie was there right at the beginning of WES and served a number of stints as our treasurer. He was always there to encourage and help anyone who showed the slightest interest in western and will be remembered for his quick wit and sense of humour.

A good friend who was always fair in his actions and statements.

On behalf of WES Area 6 our sympathies go to Liz and his family.

THEA LLOYD - May 20, 1953 - January 13, 2017 - R.I.P.

It is with great sadness that I report the sudden death of WES Area 6 stalwart, Thea Lloyd – WES instructor and judge and, above all, a true motivator and friend.

Thea’s wish was for donations to be given in her memory to The Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity.

Donations can be made direct to Great Ormond Street by logging on to their website: http://www.gosh.org/donate/make-one-donation or via justgiving.com: https://www.justgiving.com/greatormondstreet

In order for events to be organised we need more members to volunteer to become a County Representative.

Dyfed, Gwent, Pembrokeshire and Powys are currently without a county rep. CAN YOU SPARE AN HOUR OR SO A MONTH to co-ordinate potential events in your county.

If so let me know and I will talk you through what the post entails.
